COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – WELCOME BACK

THE BOAT HOUSE was closed to the public during the Autumn, Winter and Spring lockdowns but we continued to provide berthing, boat storage and essential boat services to our customers.

From Monday 17th May we look forward to welcoming visitors and berth holders back for overnight stays with the “rule of six” and two households applying. Customers with open day boats may access, maintain and use their boats for exercise and recreation on the river. Boat sales viewings are now possible, but by appointment please to cope with the restrictions on site. All visitors and contractors are welcome on site subject to Covid restrictions.

It has been a challenging 18 months, what with the flooding and Covid-19 restrictions and we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding through this time. Hopefully we are now on track for a good year ahead with the relaxation of restrictions over the next couple of months. We are following the Governments latest Covid-19 safety procedures and Environment Agency restrictions.

Please note: although the River Thames is open to navigation subject to restrictions, some stretches are also subject to navigation hazards, maintenance restrictions and harbour control warnings. Boat owners are advised to check on current river conditions and the latest EA navigation warnings.

Visitor numbers may be restricted on site and all visitors are responsible for following Government Guidelines and providing their own personal protection equipment. Our primary concern is the safety and welfare of our staff and customers. Activity should be in line with the Government’s travel and social distancing advice at all times.

For boat sales viewings, please note:

Viewings will be by appointment only (all vessels will be sanitised prior to and after viewing).
Please wear a mask if you are invited inside the office or using any of the facilities.
Sanitising stations are available on entry to the showroom for all visitors use.
Please follow the separation zones and maintain the 2m social distancing guidelines.
